Here's a simple homemade mayonnaise recipe that you can easily whip up at home:

  2. Blend Egg Yolk and Mustard: In a food processor or blender, combine the egg yolk and Dijon mustard. Blend for a few seconds until well mixed.
  3. Add Lemon Juice (or Vinegar): With the food processor or blender running, slowly pour in the lemon juice (or vinegar).
  4. Slowly Add Oil: While the food processor or blender is still running, gradually pour in the vegetable oil in a thin, steady stream.
  5. Season: Once the mayonnaise has reached the desired consistency, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Store: Transfer the homemade mayonnaise to a clean, airtight container and store it in the refrigerator.
